o Reading: Read your realistic fiction book tonight and tomorrow for 30 minutes. Log your home reading on your Reading Log.
o Word Study: Use each of your personal spelling words in a sentence.
o Writing: Write an entry each day (tonight and tomorrow) in your Idea Notebook.
o REMINDER: No school tomorrow in honor of Veterans’ Day.

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

o Current Events: Read the cover story on the Presidential Election on pages 4 & 5. Then complete “A Letter to the President Worksheet. DO NOT MAIL IT ON YOUR OWN; TURN IT IN TO ME JUST LIKE YOU WOULD WITH ANY OTHER HOMEWORK. I’ll mail all of your letters, if you wish, for you. (You can read the cover story in Spanish by going online to http://www.timeforkids.com/TFK/teachers/wr/article/0,27972,,00.html.)
o Reading: Read your realistic fiction book OR Time for Kids tonight for 30 minutes. Log your home reading on your Reading Log.
o Word Study: Complete the spelling practice sheet. This week’s pattern is the Long –O Sound.
o Writing: Write an entry in your Idea Notebook.

o Math: Complete Rounding Worksheet – all problems.
